Chris Cardoza began working at PPT in 1997 as a trainer, where his goal is to assist and provide therapeutic exercises for patients. He earned his undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic University, Pomona in Kinesiology.
Once out of college, he became involved in training by donating his time working with the football programs at La Serna and La Mirada High School. Since that time, Chris has developed plyometric and speed training programs for Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes. He has also spent time training the running teams from the local law enforcement agencies such as Los Angeles PD, Whittier PD, and the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
He has developed programs at PPT to assist all athletes such as the Back 9 Golf Program, Backs in Motion Aquatic Rehabillitation Program, and other sport specific programs. The wellness program at PPT allows for people in the community to utilize the facility as a public gym. Throughout the years, the gym program has thrived and serviced a growing number of clients.
Most recently, he assisted to expand the wellness program by offering a series of classes that focus on dynamic core activation. The two classes, F.A.B.S. and CORE 3-D, focus on posture, balance and spinal lengthening to improve core strength. He strives to educate the community and to promote health and wellness at PPT.
