Rene is a native Southern Californian girl and has no plans on leaving. She received her Bachelors of Science in General Biology, while achieving minors in Chinese Studies and Social Perspectives. Ultimately, she attained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and is now a lifelong Trojan Fan. She hopes to continue her education in physical therapy by one day becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and taking courses related to vestibular/balance training.
Rene became involved in physical therapy after her high school basketball coach prompted her to look into it as a career. She began working in a small physical therapy clinic while in college and discovered she loved interacting with patients and helping them improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, Rene loves being outdoors with her husband whether it’s camping, hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, fishing or backpacking. Her favorite place in the world to be is in the Sierra Nevadas, especially Mammoth Lakes. She also enjoys cheering on her Trojans during football season, along with the L.A. Dodgers and Lakers, and her all-time favorite athlete, Peyton Manning.
