Dave became interested in physical therapy as a junior in high school, after watching a television show about a skier who was injured. He was impressed with all aspects of this skiers rehabilitation.
He attended Rio Hondo College and was in a nursing program when he ran into a physical therapy assistant. While he was giving bed bathes she was walking and working on patients exercise programs. The next day Dave was inpired and went to his counselor and changed his major to physical therapy.
He applied to Long Beach State after graduating from Rio and found out there were 800 applicants for 35 openings in the physical therapy program. He was discouraged but had heard about the Cerritos physical therapy assistant program. He graduated from the program in 1984.
His future goals are to continue to contribute to PTT in any way and to deliver quality care as he has done for the past 25yrs + here at PPT!
When not working on patients, Dave enjoys remodeling/construction, fishing, and working out.
