Keimi is a Southern California native, born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. From the time that Keimi was 8 years old, she considered herself as a "gym rat," spending most weekends in a basketball gym. After suffering a knee injury her senior year in high school, she decided that she wanted to play basketball at the collegiate level and pursue Physical Therapy as a career. She received her B.A. degree in Psychological Approaches to Physical Rehabilitation, with a minor in Chinese from Whittier College. She then moved to New York, where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University. During her time in PT school, Keimi developed particular interest in orthopedics and manual therapy.
In her free time, Keimi enjoys spending her weekends with friends and family, playing basketball in her “old ladies leagues,” along with crossfit and olympic weight lifting.
