We're open for physical therapy; however, our Wellness Gym Program is remaining closed in order to prioritize patient care. Learn More >

Let us help alleviate pain and restore function.

Who is on your team? Who is supporting you on your journey to living your life without limits? At Professional Physical Therapy Associates (PPT Physical Therapy or PPT), we are committed to being an active member of your wellness team. Physical therapy spans from complex rehibilitation to improving function to preventative care. No matter your circumstance, our team is ready to support and encourage you as you move to be well.

We hope this finds you all healthy and doing well. Physical therapy is considered an essential business, so PPT Physical Therapy has remained open during Governor Gavin Newsom’s “Stay at Home” order. As state and county restrictions start to lift, we are still operating under a limited capacity and have put some new protocols in place to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our staff.  All new protocols are being guided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and our local, state and national government officials.

While we are open for physical therapy, our gym will remain closed to make patient care our top priority. Please read below for detailed information about in-clinic caretelehealth physical therapy and gym updates

We'll continue to update you as the situation changes.

For essential physical therapy patients only.

At this time, in-clinic physical therapy is available for essential physical therapy care only. This limits the number of patients that will be in the clinic, ensuring that each patient receives one-on-one care. Call us to learn if you qualify for in-clinic care.

For patients who qualify for in-clinic care, before coming into our office we are screening you over the phone for COVID-19 symptoms. If you pass the screening, once at PPT we’ll take your temperature before moving you to a private treatment room or open gym space. From there your one-on-one treatment will take place with your licensed physical therapist.

Please note, our professionally trained staff are sanitizing before and after each patient enters our facility. As always, we have a 5-days-per-week professional contracted cleaning service that disinfects the facility each and every evening. In addition we’ve enhanced our disinfecting routine between patients and have transitioned to sanitary hospital-grade pillows that can be easily wiped. We also have alcohol-based sanitizers and wipes throughout the clinic for patients to use.

A virtual way to stay connected.

We're now offering Telehealth sessions (or E-visits). Medicare and most other PPO insurance plans are covering Telehealth visits. If your insurance does not cover Telehealth care, we always accept cash for service. For a Telehealth session, your PT will contact you through a secure patient portal, which is HIPAA compliant.

What you’ll need:

  • An email or cell phone number we can use to connect you to the secure patient portal.

  • A computer or mobile device that has access to a camera and microphone to use with the secure patient portal. Beforehand, our staff will be happy to talk to you about the set up and procedure.

During your Telehealth session, your physical therapist will be able to discuss your plan of care (POC); virtually assess posture, range of motion, alignment, and functional limitations; provide education; add to or change your existing exercises; and discuss any cares and concerns you have about your physical therapy.

As gyms start to reopen, our Wellness Gym Program will remain temporarily closed. Your care is our top priority. At this time, to ensure patient safety, we need to use our facility for patient care only. We miss you and the energy our gym clients bring to the clinic. We'll continue to assess the situation and let you know when we reopen the gym.

After suffering an injury or recovering from surgery, we all long for a basic need: To move with ease again. To do that, often the first step is to let yourself imagine—and believe—you can. During recovery, we know imagining even everyday tasks (getting out of bed or tying your shoes) can seem impossible. Not to mention, doing the things you once loved to do. Enter PPT Physical Therapy.

At PPT, we set up treatment plans focused on establishing both small and large goals. Goals that help you imagine and tackle attainable milestones, one step at a time. Paired with hard work and determination, you can restore movement and improve function. When you entrust us with your care, you truly can let yourself imagine.
